We are looking at a '73 Mustang Mach 1 that has a missing title. The guy says it is good and just lost, but I don't trust that. VIN: 3F05Q148242. If you could help me out I'd appreciate it!

Do car fax's go back that far? I thought their limit was sometime during the 80's

You don't want a vin check. You need a "Marti" report.

It checks out as a 73 Mach but that's all I can say. The NICB website let's you check to see if it's stolen.

It comes back clean.

The NICB is your friend for obsolete iron. Marti is your best friend for classic Fords.
